The Nike Terminator High Arrives in “Game Royal”
The Hoyas got theirs, the Wildcats got these.
[Update 10 Jul 2023] The Nike Terminator High “Game Royal” will arrive at Nike’s brick-and-click stores on 22 July. Find them then for US$125.
The Nike Terminator High is the epitome of the ’80s basketball sneaker, reflected in its high-top silhouette and clean colorway. The addition of “Game Royal” adds a pop of color, making it a stylish accompaniment to any outfit. Like its contemporaries, it may have been born as a performance footwear but it has since, 40 years later, embraced its role as a lifestyle sneaker—as further established by COMME Des GARÇONS‘ take on the shoe.
It comes constructed with a leather upper and a rubber outsole that provides traction and durability, along with a padded collar and tongue for added comfort and support. Its simple two-tone color palette is highlighted with the titular color brandishing the overlays on the mudguard, eyestays, and heel collar in addition to the outsole underfoot.
Moreover, it also highlights the branding elements on the tongue tag, Nike imprint on the heel, and the profile Swooshes. A white midsole supports the upper, including the above-mentioned and the white leather, perforated base layer.
A release date has yet to be announced but expect to find them on Nike’s brick-and-click stores for US$125 when D-Day comes to pass.
