The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 “Aqua” Comes With a Swoosh Inside Its Swoosh

Some would even call it "Swooshception".

Alongside the likes of the Nike Air Force 1 and the Cortez, the Blazer Mid is perhaps one of the most historic silhouettes in the brand’s history. Stretching all the way back to 1973 when it first debuted, the Blazer Mid, originally meant for basketball, became a lifestyle icon over time and it has still remained so today.

This next offering of the Nike Blazer Mid ’77 sees the sneaker doused in a near-clad white makeup all across the shoe. White tumbled leather takes on most of the base, while the classic grey suede adorns the mudguard and heel tab.

The only pop of color comes in the form of an “Aqua” Swoosh, as its name would suggest. What makes this colorway interesting is that a mini Check-shape cutout has been “removed” from the “Aqua”-toned logo. Beneath, a small layer of mesh can be seen. If you’re wondering where the cutout went, it’s conveniently found on the heel, making it a slightly more interesting rendition of the Blazer Mid.
