Jordan Brand’s VP of Footwear, Gentry Humphrey shared some intriguing footage on his Instagram over the weekend. Therein sees him wearing a pair hitherto unseen: what they’re now calling the Air Jordan 2/3. It’s one of the fusion models from the Jumpman’s catalogue that amalgamates features from other retros into one holistic silhouette.
The new pair, as its name clearly suggests, features the familiar upper of the Air Jordan 2 with the tooling of the Air Jordan 3’s sole unit—air bubble and all. Its name, simple and plain, also nods to its namesake’s jersey number. It emerges in the iconic “Chicago” colorway with a White, Fire Red, and Sail palette.
The pair is expected to be released sometime in 2024. Information is scarce at the moment but more should surface within the coming months along with more images and a price point. Till then, we’ll have to make do with this mockup courtesy of @zSneakerHeadz.
