Tomorrow (25 March), Jordan fans in Japan will get the chance to experience a whole new retail destination like no other. The Jordan World of Flight Tokyo, the second of its kind, will officially open its doors in the hip Japanese neighborhood of Shibuya.

Nike’s Jordan Brand opened the first World of Flight (WOF) store in Milan last year. Now, they are bringing their heritage and creative vision to Tokyo, where basketball culture is thriving and strong.

For starters, the WOF Tokyo Shibuya store will stock the full range of Michael Jordan-branded sneakers and apparel. But that’s not all—the Jordan Brand flagship will also feature a content creation studio and customization service of items.

Travis Scott World of Flight Tokyo Shibuya To celebrate the occasion, Nike invited two of Jordan brand’s biggest collaborators Travis Scott and Hiroshi Fujiwara for a pre-opening event which also included a light-and-sound extravaganza.

Travis arrived at the WOF store wearing a pair of Utopia-branded Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Medium Olive” that is also engraved with the WOF logo; while godfather of Japanese streetwear Fujiwara conducted a private talk centered on Air Jordans for basketball enthusiasts.
