With this year’s Air Max Day 2023 imminent, all eyes are on the titular model. Headlining the event is undisputedly the godfather of them all, the Air Max 1 “Big Bubble”. But when the dust settles, the Vapormax 2023 Flyknit will have its time in the sun.

It arrives similar to its predecessors albeit of course, the colorway. The entirety of the upper is made from the Swoosh’s signature FlyKnit in a shade that dances between white and light grey. On the mudguard and heel is a translucent shield that ever so slightly defers to a blue tint. Adjacent are the profiles Swooshes, for contrast to the seraphic background, are employed in a darker tone.

Exploring the branding elements further, there’s the Swoosh and VaporMax label on the tongue. The former making another appearance inconspicuously on the lateral midsole, the latter through the decal on the heel counter.

The Vapormax truly flourishes on the hallmark sole unit, taking the form of the shoes by way of the translucent icy blue air bubble. Visible through it is a footbed resembling the Nike Grind material.

They’re currently scheduled to arrive on 6 April with a price tag of US$210. They’ll be on Nike’s brick-and-click imminently so keep a close look.
