Rarely is there a shoe that—hyperbolically—fits everybody’s palette. But there’s the ubiquitous Nike Dunk Low. Indubitably, the most popular silhouette in the footwear landscape at the moment, albeit an extended one.

Its a canvas that allows for infinite possibilities for design, be it the colorway, materials or embellishments. There’s a Dunk Low for everyone which explains its popularity, but its said popularity that may also be its Achilles’ heel. So once in awhile, a traditional muted take is more a breath of fresh air in an oversaturated space. Thus, the incoming “Plum Eclipse” colorway.

Coconut Milk dresses the pair on the base, visible through the toebox, quarter and heel panels, as well as the tongue. Thereafter comes the titular color on the overlays, laces, profiles Swooshes, and heel tab. Finishing touches come through the earth brown on the tongue tag and interior. All the aforementioned sit atop a white midsole and a gum rubber outsole.

A release date is set for 8 April for US$120. Find them on Nike’s brick-and-click then.

Elsewhere under the Nike umbrella, a release date has been confirmed for the incoming Stüssy x Converse Chuck 70 Hi “Fossil”.
