BT21 has played an important part in shaping global K-Pop idol group BTS’ brand identity. Started as a joint project with LINE Friends Corporation, the duo seeks to create cute character personas, which were also designed by the members themselves.
The brand has since grown, introducing collaborations with major brands like Starbucks and Reebok, as well as various forms of media. This time, partnering with the franchise comes Dr. Martens for a revamped outlook on the latter’s classic silhouettes.
The collection exemplifies BTS’ positive philosophy, with the 1460, 1461, and 2976 models adorned with graphic drawings of characters, stars, and love, immersing us into the world of BT21’s universe. Accompanying the shoes comes a matching bag, featuring similar prints and finished with Dr. Martens’ branding.
Officially releasing on 30 March, the BT21 x Dr. Martens collection is expected to arrive via Dr. Martens. Prices will range from 208,000 to 280,000 KRW (~US$160 to $215).
