Perfect for Any Weather: Nike Air Force 1 Low “Waterproof”
Never fear the rain ever again.
Let’s face it—we all hate the rain to a certain degree. In the face of falling precipitation, no sneakerhead wants to get their new kicks wet or possibly even damaged. Yet, as sneakerheads we want to wear our sneakers out, right?
Fret not, as Nike seems to have come up with a solution with this Nike Air Force 1 Low “Waterproof”. While it’s definitely far from the brand’s first waterproof offering, Nike usually reserves their water-repellent finishes for trial/utility-based silhouettes.
Dressed in a style that’s similar to last year’s “Color of the Month” series, this Nike Air Force 1 Low “Waterproof” comes in a near-clad white leather makeup. The only accents of color come in the form of “University Gold” hits on the mid-foot Swooshes, as well as on the tongue and heel brandings. Tying the color scheme together is its classic gum outsole underfoot.
It’s not often that we see Nike’s signature lifestyle silhouette come with in-house weatherproof tooling, and the Swoosh brand wants you to know that too. A big “Waterproof” hangtag accompanies the sneaker, completed with the branding and a graphic of the Air Force 1 Low.
While an official release date has not been announced just yet, expect this upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low “Waterproof” to arrive in the coming months—just in time for the showers that come along with spring. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we can but in the meantime, have an official look at the pair via the top slider above.
