Ahead of the NBA All-Star Weekend, adidas is revisiting the adidas Crazy 1, previously known as Kobe 1, in the “Lakers Home” colorway.

Also known as Kobe Bryant’s first signature shoe, the Crazy 1 was modelled after the Audi TT Roadster and remembered for its futuristic molded upper—complete with a spoiler-inspired heel shield.

Last year, adidas brought back the polarizing silhouette in a few OG colorways including the “Metallic Silver” and “Sunshine”. This time around, a proper homage to the Black Mamba is on the way with the return of the “Lakers Home” colorway, just in time for All-Stars Weekend.

Predominantly decked in white, pops of the Los Angeles Lakers’ “Court Purple” and “Bold Gold” are sprinkled all over the Crazy 1, nodding towards Kobe’s home team. When viewed from its profile, the yellow outlines the classic silhouette, making the shoe pop.

Underfoot, you can expect the same state-of-the-art adidas tech to be featured on the performance sneaker such as adiPRENE+ technology and Torsion system.

The adidas Crazy 1 “Lakers Home” lands 18 February with a US$150 price tag. For Kobe fans who can’t wait, the pair is already available on our SNKRDUNK App via Japanese sellers. Follow along for more latest Crazy 1 and adidas news!
