UNIQLO UT Goes Through the History of Dragon Ball
Covering both the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z series.
Having an extensive history dated back to 1983, Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball series has achieved mainstream recognition internationally and also been regarded as one of the most influential mangas of all times.
With 2023 marked as the 37th anniversary of the anime series, UNIQLO decided to take us on a nostalgic trip back to its origins with their latest UT collaboration.
Set to arrive in a lineup of seven mens and four kids graphic tees, the collection will feature iconic characters that appeared in the Emperor Pilaf Saga, all the way until Majin Buu Saga.
This includes early childhood scenes with Goku, Bulma and Krillin, before crossing over to the Dragon Ball Z series with Vegeta, Frieza, Androids and finally, Majin Buu.
Officially releasing early May 2023 in Japan, a global release of the UNIQLO UT “History of Dragon Ball” collection is expected to follow in the coming months. Retail prices will be 1,500 JPY (~US$12) for mens’ t-shirts, and 990 JPY (~US$8) for kids’ t-shirts.
