[Update 16 Feb 2023] Official images of the upcoming Nike Air Max 1 Crepe “Soft Grey” have officially surfaced! Through Nike’s images, it definitely looks like a premium selection of materials were used, and boy oh boy it looks amazing. Are you looking to pick one up come 24th February?

“LINE”

Ahead of the all-important Nike Air Max Day in March, the Swoosh brand’s production line has been red hot with numerous Air Max releases this year. With Air Max 1s like the “Safari/Summit White” and the 97s getting the “Georgetown” retooling, it certainly seems like 2023 is going to be a massive year for the beloved series.

Joining the lineup of Air Max releases is this upcoming Nike Air Max 1 PRM Crepe “Soft Grey”. Acting as a follow-up to last year’s “Crepe Hemp” release, which in itself was a remake of its original 2004 version, the new “Soft Grey” offering sees the usage of the crepe sole once again. While it isn’t exactly the most popular among ardent Air Max 1 collectors, who much prefer the traditional waffle tread outsole, the crepe sole is definitely something different from Nike’s traditional offerings.

The uppers come dressed in a mix of grey shades—specifically, “soft grey”, “neutral grey” and “thunder grey”. The three different greyscale profiles combine to create a clean and simple colorway, perfect for those not entirely into the usually loud Air Max 1 colors.

Premium materials are used on this latest offering, with a fabric base wrapping around the layer of the shoe, while suede and leather wrap the rest of its overlays on the upper. Rounding off the design is the aforementioned crepe sole, coming in a gum color beneath a sail treated midsole.
