Collina Strada and Vans Debut 4-Piece Sneaker Collection
Vans ventures into the whimsical world of IYKYK fashion label Collina Strada.
Ahead of its Fall 2023 runway presentation, rising fashion label Collina Strada has unveiled an exclusive partnership with Vans.
Collina Strada is the IYKYK New York label that brands itself as eco-conscious and creates youthful, psychedelic designs out of fabric scraps. Last fall, Collina Strada worked with Melissa on a line of 100% recyclable plastic sandals. For their Vans collab this season, the American brand zooms in on the concept of “dream homes”.
The Collina Strada x Vans collab is based off three of Vans’ signature silhouettes—the Classic Slip-Ons, Sk8-Hi and Old Skool. Each Collina Strada x Vans sneaker features a starkly different design yet still channels Collina Strada’s brand of whimsical joy.
The Vans Classic Slip-On 98 DX is wrapped in Collina Strada’s trademark “Home” print which features the design team’s doodles of their dream homes. The burnt orange and pink tie-dye on the Sk8-Hi 38 DX is actually a warped butterfly and floral print; while the Old Skool goes through a dramatic transformation, appearing with a new chunky Vibram sole and in two metallic colorways—citronelle and lilac.
As part of their first ever team-up, Collina Strada and Vans will also be releasing a line of apparel which will include an oversized hoodie, high socks and a backpack. The full collection will launch online on 10 February, the same day as Collina Strada’s Fall 2023 runway show. Stay tuned for more updates.
