Embodying Birkenstock’s functional heritage and Fear of God’s inimitable, timeless design language.
[Update 22 Feb 2023] If you missed your chance at a pair during the first release on FOG’s website, there’s another at Birkenstock’s brick-and-click. They’ll be available at select retail locations on 22 February with a global release on the 24th. The three colorways of “Ash”, “Cement Malange”, and “Taupe” will be priced at US$445 with the “Taupe” kids pair at US$225. They’re currently sold out on FOG so faster fingers first come this second round. Till then, enjoy some new campaign images below!
Both brands posses their own hallmarks, an aesthetic that they’re synonymous with. Consider the simplicity, inimitable, timeless design of Fear of God. Think of the make and functionality of BIRKENSTOCK’s. For this collaboration, both their integrity and pedigree are honored resulting in the Loz Feliz sandal; inspired by the unique hillside enclaves of its Los Angeles neighborhood namesake.
It’s carefully designed by FOG and crafted exclusively with BIRKENSTOCK 1774, the luxury design arm of the German heritage brand. The luxury footwear will arrive in two premium uppers. One in calf suede, the other—wool felt, that wrap over BIRKENSTOCK’s signature cork-latex footbed. Of course, in a tonal suede that fluently executes the visual vocabulary of Jerry Lorenzo’s label.
For the first time in 1774’s history, the pair will be available in children’s sizing, and made in Germany.
A price point hasn’t been disclosed yet but the release is imminent. They’ll be let out the gates on Fear of God’s website on 25 January with a global release on BIRKENSTOCK’s brick-and-click a month later on 24 February.
