The Nike Ja 1 Surfaces in “Phantom” Colorway
One of three initial colorways for Ja Morant's signature series.
Make no mistake—Ja Morant is one of the hottest names in the NBA right now, thanks to his explosive athleticism and non-stop highlights week-in, week-out. It’s only fitting that one of the NBA’s youngest rising stars gets his own signature series from the Swoosh brand.
Having previously showcased his “Cobalt Bliss” colorway on the hard court and a first look of the “Day One” pair, new images of a third model in the collection have recently surfaced.
Thanks to @masterchiefian on Instagram, we’re now able to take an early first look at the upcoming Nike Ja 1 “Phantom”. Dressed mainly in a light cream hue, the uppers are mainly constructed in mesh and leather much like the other two pairs previously seen.
In a rather eccentric mix of colors that highlights Morant’s aggressive play style, a purple undertone sets in beneath the mesh panels around the mid foot and rear, with blue wrapping around the heel and inner lining. The Swoosh is painted in an “Action Green”, while the design is rounded off with orange hits around the tongue and outsole of the basketball shoe.
You can expect the Nike Ja 1 “Phantom” to hit Nike stores and select retailers come 27 April, at a retail price of US$110. Check out an early look of the silhouette via the top slider above, and stay tuned as we’ll bring you news of the other colorways as soon as we get them.
