Back in 2014, Nicki Minaj was at the height of her fame and influence. Her place in the pantheon further cemented by her critically-acclaimed third studio album, Pinkprint. In celebration of the artist, Jordan Brand specially-designed an Air Jordan 6 for her. But that was only the catalyst to the lore. The pair was an artist and F&F exclusive, with only 24 pairs rumored to be ever produced.

Although sightings have come to light over the years, this’s the first time a detailed look has surfaced, courtesy of @englishsole.

The AJ 6 perfectly embodies Nicki’s energy at the time, with vibrant hues engulfing the shoe. A pink and purple gradation lands on the base layer while complemented by white leather overlays. Bold red adds an even bolder touch catching the eye through the Jumpman on the tongue, outsole, as well as the laces adjacent.

The pink thumbrint insignia as seen on the album artwork presides over the footbed and heel counter with the album name imprinted below. For the finishing touches, comes the metal lace toggle near the vamp.

There’s reason to hope that the collaborative pair will see a release down the road, years removed. Just as it has for LeBron James’s Nike Air Force 1 “Four Horsemen”.
