It seems like Nike is yet again drawing inspiration from their rivals, shortly after news emerged that the Swoosh brand is releasing foam slides that looks a little too similar to the infamous Yeezy Slides. This time, the Beaverton-based shoe giants are seemingly taking notes from KITH’s founder Ronnie Fieg and ASICS with their upcoming Dunk Low “Salmon Toe”.

The “Salmon Toe” is one of the most recognizable color blockings in the entirety of the sneaker industry. It first appeared on Fieg’s ASICS GEL-Lyte III collaboration all the way back in 2011, which has since become a hallmark design not just for the two brands, but also revered among sneakerheads worldwide. The OG design was brought back last year on the ASICS GEL-Lyte V as part of KITH’s 10 year anniversary.

Arriving as a kids’ exclusive, the Dunk Low “Salmon Toe” sees the famed salmon-pink hue on the toebox and mudguard, while the rest of the upper comes dressed in a mix of royal blue and menta teal. Rounding off its design is a khaki beige Swoosh logo, while the outsole underfoot is painted in the same tone of blue as the mid-panel.

While there’s no official release date set, you can expect the Nike Dunk Low GS “Salmon Toe” to arrive at select retailers and Nike SNKRS at a retail price of US$90, just in time for summer. Stay tuned as we’ll bring you the latest updates on this release as soon as we get them.
