Continuing with the recent trend of reviving old sneaker designs such as the Air Adjust Force, Nike is unveiling a new silhouette, the Nike Gamma Force, which draws huge inspirations from the aesthetics of 1980s basketball shoes.
Releasing as a women’s exclusive, the Gamma Force is an amalgam of the classic 1982 Air Force 1 and the Mac Attack, another 1980s design that’s set for a comeback with streetwear retailer Social Status. Drawing similarities to the New Balance 550 as well, the Gamma Force boasts a full upper leather construction with an underlay of mesh layers visible around the collars of the silhouette.
Four early color combinations have since been teased, coming mainly in white or sail with accents of blue, cream, brown and black respectively. While no official release date or retail pricing have been announced, you can expect them to release some time this year. We’ll be sure to update this page as soon as we have more details, so hang tight.
