The Air Jordan 37 Looks to the Past for 2023 Colorway Inspo
The "Bordeaux" colorway first appeared on the Air Jordan 7 back in 1992.
[Update 19 Jan 2023] A release date for the Nike Air Jordan 37 “Bordeaux” has been confirmed. The latest colorway for the Jordan silhouette will drop on 26 January at a price of US$185. Alongside the regular version, Jordan Brand will also be releasing the Bordeaux in a Performance Fit (PF) edition which offers higher durability and better traction.
Things are starting to get exciting with the Air Jordan 37. Following collaborations with UNDEFEATED and Rui Hachimura, the latter of whom dropped two pairs of collaborative AJ37s in a span of less than three months, Jordan Brand is ready to spice up the AJ37 lineup further with the introduction of new inline models.
The Air Jordan 37 “Bordeaux” is one upcoming pair. Longtime Jordan fans would instantly recognize this classic colorway first spotted on the Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” in 1992. Thirty years later, on the AJ37 “Bordeaux”, the same multi-colored shades dress the latest iteration of the Air Jordan, in the exact same way.
The Bordeaux’s leno-weave upper now sports a black-and-grey color scheme, while the titular wine-red color on the throat, tongue, interior bootie and even the Jumpman logo helps add some needed contrast. More pops of colors like blue, yellow and green can also be seen on the tongue and outsole, similar to that of the AJ7.
While no release date is tagged to the Air Jordan 37 “Bordeaux” yet, you can expect the sneaker to arrive in 2023 with a retail price of US$185. Meanwhile, grab an early look at this pair via the image gallery above.
In other sneaker-related news, the Air Jordan 3 joins its older siblings and surfaces in “Lucky Green”.
