Jordan Brand’s Iconic Elephant Print Takes Over the Air Jordan 1 Low
Expect more appearances from the Elephant print on Air Jordan sneakers in the coming year.
[Update 27 Feb 2023] New images of the upcoming Nike Air Jordan 1 Low “Black Cement” have recently surfaced, thanks to House of Heat. Through this new set of photos, it seems as if the Swoosh has swapped out black for a more eye-catching hit of white, which contrasts the dark upper a lot more than its previously teased look. Similarly, the black outsole underfoot has also been swapped out for a grey one, matching the infamous elephant prints for a more cohesive finish.
Still expected to release in a full size family run, expect to see these drop in the summer. In the meantime, check out the new images via the top slider above and we’ll be sure to update this page as soon as we can.
A new Air Jordan 1 Low featuring the Jordan Brand’s signature Elephant print will be joining the previously-leaked Air Jordan 1 High “White Cement” and a “Reimagined” version of the Air Jordan 3 “White Cement” next summer.
According to mockups from various sneaker sources, this pair of Air Jordan 1 Low “Black Cement” will feature Black predominantly on its leather upper and be complemented by Elephant print overlays (the “cement” from its name refers to the cracked Elephant print). The usage of the color Black is seen across the entire shoe—on the Swoosh, laces, tongue label and heel tab. Underfoot, a Sail midsole and Black outsole help to round off the design of the sneaker.
Scheduled for release on 23 June 2023, four months after the AJ1 High “White Cement”, this low-top Elephant print Jordans will be available in Men’s, Women’s and Grade School (GS) sizing. Prices are tagged at US$140 (adults) and US$120 (GS).
In other sneaker-related news, adidas is already planning to release old Yeezy models without the Yeezy branding.
