[Update 31 May 2023] The Nike Dunk Low PRM “Head 2 Head/CO.JP” will be released on Nike Japan on 6 June for 15,400 JPY (~US$120). If not, go get ’em on the SNKRDUNK App!

[Update 20 Mar 2023] Let’s get the elephant in the room out of the way: there’s no release date yet. But! If it’s any consolation, official images of the CO.JP Dunk Lows have arrived, which also points to an imminent announcement of a release. Perhaps in the next one!

[Update 3 Jan 2023] No news of a release for the Nike Dunk Low CO.JP has gotten to us yet, but on-foot images did so here they are. Check them out on the article slider above as we keep a lookout for more updates to come.

[Update 19 Dec 2022] More images of the titular Dunk Low have surfaced, courtesy of reliable sneaker leaker @prvt.selection. The photos give us a more detailed and angular view, in addition to the earlier looks. For one, the brown outsoles stand complementary to the tones of its upper. The snakeskin finish on the base layer is also more vivid. There’s no other information accompanying this new set of images, but take what you will from it, for now. When word gets to us, we’ll get them to you.

The most erudite footwear historians will likely know the legend of CO.JP, the Nike sub-label that’s incidentally responsible for shaping the landscape that we know it today. There wouldn’t have been SNKRS and the practice of a ‘drop’, nor would the popularity of exclusive pairs reach the apex that it’s in now.

They were responsible for some of the most enigmatic collaborations, introducing unique materials and construction that were hitherto unseen on a sneaker. An out of the box reinvention typical of Japan. For the upcoming shoe, the Nike Dunk Low CO.JP bears the same spirit as its predecessors.

The construction holistically presents a vintage aesthetic, whether it be the distressing on the suede and leather overlays, or to the choice of muted, tonal browns. A snakeskin-esque finish can be seen on the underlying base layer in sail, while complemented by the aforementioned overlays. Black, another addition, comes by way of the leather profile Swooshes, the lining and tongue tag. There, the Nike logo breaks the uniformity of the color palette making its mark in red.

Since the images are leaks, there aren’t any accompanying information beyond what can be discerned from the photos. But at least it ascertains its existence.

Now while waiting, perhaps check out the Future Made Studio x Reebok Classic Club C Revenge, a pair that features a unique combination of materials as well.
