[Update 30 Dec 2022] Official photos of the Air Jordan 1 Low “Panda” are here. As opposed to previously-seen pictures, these images from Nike depicts the women’s pair clad in black-and-white leather that emits a glossy shine. The AJ1 Low “Panda” is expected to arrive in spring 2023—more updates to come!

The “Panda” colorway has been the go-to for anyone and everyone, be it the people who wear them and the people who make them. The black-and-white makeup is ubiquitous, as seen on the Dunk Lows and the many other silhouettes in Nike’s catalogue.

It’s simplicity makes it archetypal. It’s for the people who want the Pandas, without the critical stares from true-blue sneakerheads. Honestly, possibly only the cognoscenti might be able to tell them apart considering the 1s and the Dunks are closer as siblings, more than the former is to other Air Jordans.

The construction features a full leather build with a white base layer and black overlays, with mesh forming the tongue and the collar. It doesn’t deviate too much from its original design and color blocking. Even the black profile Swooshes are a mainstay, with the Jordan Wings embroidered on the heel counter.

There currently is no firm release date on the pair despite Jordan Brand’s jam-packed release calendar for next year. When they do release eventually in 2023, expect to find them on Nike SNKRS with a price tag of US$120.
