Nike Air Max 1 “Neutral Grey” Closes Out Its 35th Anniversary Tour
One more Air Max 1 before the year comes to a close.
Tinker Hatfield’s brainchild the Air Max 1 celebrates its 35th anniversary this year. It’s had a solid run with with new iterations like the “Duck” colorway and the LeBron James x Liverpool collaboration, amongst many others. And with only a few weeks left in the year, Nike has begun teasing its next cycle of releases for 2023.
The titular pair shows up with a little more razzmatazz through the multicolored outsole. The large contrast to the tonal white upper shows off its construct from a more holistic scope, without overwhelming the beholder. Their eyes are guided from the “Neutral Grey” suede overlays, to the white leather base layer, before letting their vision travel to where the subtle hits of colors lie.
Blue adorns all the branding elements, save for the heel counter embroidery in white; from the small Swoosh on the mudguard, the tongue tag, and the insoles within. Therein lies the geometric vector circles filled with the same colors of the outsoles. The motif repeating itself on the heel tab. Some finishing touches include the sinogram on the underside of the tongue as well as the modular, fluffy pom-pom regalia on the aglets.
There’s no word on a release date at the time of writing, but it’s expected to arrive within the coming weeks in 2023, or months.
