While the name of Yohji Yamamoto may be familiar to many, WILDSIDE may prove to be new to those outside the realms of dark fashion. Started out as a conceptual project from July 2022, the label aims to create edgy items surrounding the theme of the Japanese designer’s iconic color black through a lineup of collaborations with other labels.

With past releases featuring NEEDLES, AMBUSH and more, the dark fashion label is back for an upcoming release with fellow Japanese label NOMA t.d. Focused on a sweatsuit as the lineup, the duo utilizes NOMA t.d.’s signature tie-dye print in Yohji Yamamoto’s black color scheme as the design motif.

Keeping the design simple yet impactful, a little touch of detail is added with Yamamoto’s “peony” flower embroidery lined with NOMA t.d.’s logo on the edges. Gone through a hand-dyed process, a slight difference in finish may be visible to each individual piece, creating a more unique and personal look for each person.

With a release date of 30th November, the WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto x NOMA t.d. sweats collection is now available for purchase via WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto for $380 and $390 respectively.
