Nike Dunk Low “Plaid” Gets Into the Holiday Spirit
Perhaps to match the ugly Christmas sweater this year?
[Update 13 Jan 2023] While Christmas is most certainly over, it’s never too late to start preparing for the next one. The Nike Dunk Low “Plaid” is set to release on 18th Jan on Nike US, at a retail price of US$120 for the adults pair and US$95 for the GS pair.
There’s a pair of Nike to mark every holiday and occasion. Already they’re preparing for Chinese New Year in 2023 with a “Year of the Rabbit” pack that consists of the Air Force 1, Cortez, and a Dunk Low. But before that rolls around, there’s Christmas and all the festivities. It seems even @yankeekicks has also gotten into the mood with Christmas-themed socks depicted in the on-feet images.
The Dunk Low arrives taking its design cue from the winter staple plaids. With a white leather base layer, the tartan plaid textiles are introduced through the overlays in a mix of green and red, with the motif turning right on the color slider on the eye stays. Black Swooshes adorn the profiles leading the eyes towards the heel tab, where the Nike branding is embroidered in red. Similarly, the logo on the tongue tag takes on the same color. Rounding off the design, white midsoles join the upper and the grey outsoles underfoot.
A specific release date hasn’t been disclosed but it should be within the coming weeks as Christmas becomes more imminent by the day. The titular Nike Dunk Low “Plaid” has a RRP of US$120 and will be available on Nike’s brick-and-click.
