An Official Look at the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Lemon Wash”
It's not quite yellow, it's not quite blue. But for someone out there, they're made for you.
The Air Jordan 1 no matter its high or low iterations, will perpetually be one of the most versatile shoes for its fans to pair with their outfits, and for its maker to experiment with its construction. It’s a ‘safe’ choice, a fertile ground for Nike’s design team to plant a seed and see what kind of tree grows.
While the “Chicago” and “UNC” colorways are their most popular staples, Nike is cognizant that the core fans of the silhouette aren’t just basketball heads anymore. Thus, the plethora of colorways. Out of a thousand other color combinations they’ve adopted, there will at least be one that will resonate with someone, somewhere.
Case in point: the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Lemon Wash”. The women’s exclusive shoes arrive with a mid top build. Save for the titular color and the Lapis Swooshes, its familiarity uncompromized. The white leather base layer still has the perforations on the toe box, the white midsole also a mainstay, along with the branding elements like the Jumpman on the tongue tag, and the Wings logo on the collar. While Lemon Wash isn’t oft-seen on many of their offerings, it certainly has its own appeal.
An exact release date hasn’t been disclosed but they’re expected to show out sometime in the spring next year. As usual, they’ll be available on Nike’s brick-and-click for US$125—when the powers that be says so.
