2010 saw the release of fragment design and Nike’s “City Pack” trio of the Dunk High. With the popularity of the silhouette at an all-time high, a second wave release was an eventuality. Inspired by the cities of “Beijing”, “New York”, and “London”, the first two arrived last year with the last expected to return in the spring of 2023.

The rumor started after fragment design head honcho Hiroshi Fujiwara posted a picture of a scene in an exhibition where the titular shoe was on display. The pair presents a great contrast to its contemporaries in the pack where the others had a darker color scheme, this one was dressed in a vibrant yellow-pink mix. The palette apparently drawing from South Park’s Mintberry Crunch.

The hallmark of the three-piece collection was the alternating color-blocking between the left and right pairs but the motif purportedly, wouldn’t be a mainstay in this upcoming release. Instead, it’ll feature an orthodox symmetrical design. Do note that the images featured are ones from the 2010 release, but it wouldn’t be hard to imagine what the actual shoes will look like should it drop the disparate coloring aesthetic.

Neither Nike nor the godfather of streetwear himself have ascertained the rumors but word has it that the pair will arrive some in the spring of next year with the similar premium price tag of US$150.
