With Halloween coming and going in a day’s time, Nike is prepping its silhouettes for the next festive season: Christmas. And what better way to celebrate the occasion than outfitting its silhouettes with one of the most gifted presents? Following two Dunk Low iterations in classic brown and romantic pink, the Nike Air Max 97 is also receiving a bear-like furrification.

Similar to the Dunks, the upcoming Air Max 97 will see a tonal brown ensemble with shaggy suede wrapping the bottom half of the upper. The wavy design of the AM97 is also adorned with the teddy suede, but is contrasted with alternating leather accents. The usual medial windows are overtaken by a deeper brown twill while the small Swoosh is embroidered with bright blue threads. A brown leather tag hangs from the rear, imitating stuffed toy labels.

Up front, the textured tongue is slightly parted down the middle by the pull tab, making it look like a bear’s rounded ears. The interior also remains true to the theme, with a stuffed bear illustration in similar colorblocking as the shoe. Rounding out the design are caramel outsoles.

Though no official release dates have been revealed, they are expected to retail at US$185. For closer looks, peep the top slider.
