Official Look: Nike Air Max 90 “Navy/Blue”
Monday blues, encapsulated.
Since the Nike Air Max 90 left Tinker Hatfield’s creative mindfield and entered the physical sneaker space in the 90’s, it has received a steady stream of colorways to cater to its growing fan base. The exposed Air unit was revolutionary for its time and could be seen as a playful interpretation of walking on clouds (or in this case, walking on air). Cycling through numerous color palettes and collaborations, the Air Max 90 is ushering its layers of leather and suede back to the trusty Navy look.
As its name suggests, an unassuming navy mesh is overlaid with cool-toned blue suede and leather panels. The ribbed plastic eyestays and windows also adopt the same tonal shades, as do the laces. Contrasting these blue hues is a white midsole, and of course, the exposed Air bubble. A half-hidden Swoosh in black rounds out the look. This pair is essentially the Obsidian colorway, except all gray portions have been swapped for a muted shade of blue.
No release dates have dropped for this Nike Air Max 90 “Navy/Blue”, but it is expected to land in 2023. In the meantime, look to the top slider for more pictures.
