[Update 21 Oct 2022] New images of the Air Jordan 2 “Craft” have been shared courtesy of @prvt.selection, giving us more angular looks at the pair. There aren’t any changes to the release date at the time of writing this update, but should anything change, you’ll find out more here. Until then, we’ll get our hands on these on 24th March next year.

The Air Jordan 2 for the longest time has been relegated to the back-burner, through no fault of its own. It’s supposed to be the luxe update of its predecessor. It just lost its chance at the same grand narrative as its contemporaries since Michael Jordan was injured through most of the season during its release in 1986.

Lately however, whether it be due to the evolving palette of the market or the many brands that are taking on the silhouette as their collaboration’s canvas, the Air Jordan 2 is finally getting more time in the sun. This year alone, it’s seen itself reimagined by Union LA, A Ma Maniere, Maison Chateau Rouge, and Nina Chanel Abney. Not forgetting the incoming intercontinental ones with Shelflife, Two 18, and Titan.

While the year winds down, the silhouette is still riding out its inertia, joining the Air Jordan 1 and 4 in the Jumpman’s new “Craft” collection set to arrive in Spring 2023.

The series gives the AJ 2 a vintage, retro aesthetic through its Sail leather and suede construction. A tonal Melon Tint gives character through the lining on the quarter and heel, as well as the Wings logo debossed on the the tongue. Light Curry accents rest on the tip of it and the sock liner, while underfoot sees a Cobblestone Grey outsole, held together with the upper through the Muslin midsole.

While there’re no official images yet, the pair was revealed to drop on 24th March, 2023 with a price tag of US$150.
