Thrasher x Vans Old Skool/Sk8-Hi Celebrate Their Storied History
Two brands more synonymous with skating than any other.
A collaboration that celebrates the storied history of the two brands more synonymous with skating than any other. While Vans were on the feet of skaters, elevating the culture to the level of ubiquity, Thrasher Magazine, since 1981, was there to document it.
Taking the Vans Old Skool and Sk8-Hi as the bases of their partnership, the signature fiery “THRASHER” logo sees itself rotating in 90° increment all over the black canvas upper. Save for the aforementioned, the two silhouettes maintains its hallmark colors and features: from the Vans’ white wave on the laterals, to the white shoelaces up top, down to the vulcanized rubber midsole below.
Aside from the waffle-patterned outsole, the Sk8-Hi carries a hit of red on the branding element on the tongue tag and a black sock liner, disparate from the white in the Old Skool.
Both pairs are currently available in Vans webstore with the Old Skool going for US$90 and the Sk8-Hi US$100.
