Don’t Make a Meme of the Air Jordan 1 Mid/Low “Triple Black”
Can't be as shady or menacing as the black Air Forces.
“Iconic”, “classic”, “timeless”—these are some of the most enduring words used to described Peter Moore’s Air Jordan 1. Enduring as these clichés are, the pair does live up to them. For close to four decades now, the silhouette has maintained itself as a staple in the footwear rotation of the most erudite collectors and the most casual of enthusiasts.
Arguably, only the Air Force 1 and the Dunks live in the same realm when it comes to its versatility; whether it’s as a canvas for designers, or as a component for stylists. New color schemes, new graphics, new patterns, new embellishments, and the list goes on. The way to remake the AJ1 is an entire universe in itself, with endless possibilities.
For all the extremities in the design, once in awhile, a silhouette goes through a black hole and emerges from the other side achromatic—like this one. The “Triple Black” makeup of the Air Jordan 1 is applied to the Mid and Low cutting of the shoes. The upper features a full leather construction with a mesh tongue and sock lining. Finished off with a rubber outsole, black envelopes the entirety of the sneaker.
The two pairs will be available on Nike’s brick-and-click from 27th September onwards with a RRP of US$125 for the Mids, and $110 for the Lows.
From His Airness’ to the King’s, LeBron James’s FNF-exclusive Air Force 1 “Four Horsemen” is rumored to get a general release, 20 years after its debut.
