Wood Wood x Reebok Classic Low: Everyman’s Everyday Shoe
"For Camping. For Partying. For walking the dog. For jumping around. For band practice. For road tripping. For digging holes. For beach trips," Wood Wood says.
Wood Wood, founded by Karl-Oskar Olsen and Brian SS Jensen in Copenhagen, is en route to its 20th anniversary; recently marking the occasion with the release of their latest FW22 collection. The Danish label has always aimed to elevate their purpose by engaging in special collaborations with established brands and independent artists.
This time around, they partner up wth the legendary shoemaker from Bolton, UK—Reebok; breathing new life into the brand’s transcendent, timeless Classic Low silhouette. Their iteration sees a white premium leather construction on the upper with a fleece-lined insole. Built over a contrasting gum sole, co-branding appears on the heel and insoles, while on the tongue tag depicts a palm with an apple resting over it, the word “life” proximate to it on the laterals.
The Wood Wood x Reebok Classic Low is a product of a collaboration as anyone would expect it to be: easy, minimal, and functional—an embodiment of the former’s ethos.
As co-founder Brian SS Jensen explains: “The Reebok Classic is a truly iconic shoe that works perfectly without too much interference. I wanted this shoe to work for all occasions, whether that be walking your dog, going to the pub or grocery shopping. Really just a reflection of our Life™ Store concept. Reebok has always been great at creating simple, versatile products and I think our customers will appreciate a simple, timeless shoe to do life in.”
The pair will be available from 15th September at all W.W. Life™ Stores and woodwood.com, with a price tag set at US$118.
Perhaps the LQQK Studios x Reebok Classic Leather would be right up your alley, too.
