atmos is unleashing its collaborative talents with New Balance again, though this time on the new NB kid on the block — the 1906R.  Revealed by atmos’ Creative Director Hirofumi Kojima on his Instagram, the atmos touch manifests in a reflective N-logo and Safari-esque leather patterns.

An up and coming silhouette for New Balance, the in-line 1906R, as a whole, has been quite flamboyant in its designs. From gold/silver accents to an upcoming Protection Pack-like distress, New Balance is proving that its dad-bod shoes can embody voguish fashion sensibility too. This atmos collaboration only adds to this budding reputation, with a reflective N-logo taking centre stage. In natural light, the N-lock system humbly assumes a neutral black. But all of its reservations are stripped away when flash comes to play. The N-lock, which has flat laces strung through it, reflects back a sleek purple hue that gives greater visual interest to the shoe.

Surrounding the N-logo is a white mesh base overlayed with spotted gray leather panels that give off a Safari look. As with other versions of the 1906R, the sole unit is speckled and the heel sports streaks. Though not much is known about this upcoming collaboration, we’re sure that more news will land soon, especially since Hirofumi hints that a release is “coming soon…”. Worry not, we’ll update as soon as we hear more.

In the meantime, may we interest you in Palace’s first ever collaboration with New Balance?
