Zion Williamson has only played 85 games in his NBA career, which would’ve been great if it were his rookie year, except that those 85 were between three seasons. Zanos, a nickname designated to him by his fellow Blue Devils after Thanos, has missed the entirety of the last season. It’s not too unusual a case for some players to be injured this early on in their careers. Many greats before him have made successful careers despite the rocky start.

The Pelicans and Jordan Brand sure hope that’s the case for one of the future faces of their brand along with Luka Dončić. While Williamson’s been out of action, his sneakers have been getting plenty. The “Voodoo” iterations of his Zion 2 and Air Jordan 1 Low have been teased for months now with the hype train possibly going off the rails as the imminent holiday release draws.

With a 45-inch vertical, Zion’s game is fun to watch and this new “Multi-Color” dressing injects some of it into the modern silhouette. The color blocking on the upper is elementary with black resting atop the white. The “Multi-Color” motif gets its own time in the sun with an artful, well-balanced placement on the mudguard and vamp, traversing along to the fore of the eyestays.

The polychromatic element is reapplied onto the ‘Zion’ logo on the outsole, in contrast to the white one on the tongue, and the red on the insole. The Jumpman is isolated on the heel with the ‘ZW’ debossed on the lateral heel. “SHOCK THE WORLD” is subtly embossed on the toe, with the Air Strobel logo on the heel’s left, and “LET’S DANCE” on its right.

This vibrant Jordan Zion 2 is set for a 7th September release with a price tag of US$120.

In other Jordan-related news, the J Balvin x Air Jordan 2 release date has been confirmed, along with some new campaign images.
