The Tennessee State Players x Dunk Low Are Roaring With School Spirit
You just got schooled by these Tiger Pride kicks.
Nike has a long-running history of collaborating with American collegiate teams. Alongside the likes of University of North Carolina and University of Oregon, Tennessee State University (TSU) partners with Nike for a college-themed Dunk Low “TSU Tigers” release.
The shoe is decked in the school and state’s colours with red and blue panelling on a black base paired with white contrast midsole and swoosh logo on the side. The yellow tongue and heel tabs give a pop of colour, complementing the tiger-striped insoles and laces. The embroidered “1912” on the heel tabs signify the founding year of the institution. “Tiger Pride” is printed on the insole replacing the usual Nike logo found. The TSU insignia on the tongue completes the tribute to the college.
Nike first began working with universities in 1985. The brand seems to be releasing Dunk Low colorways together with historically Black universities with its previous collaborations with Clark Atlanta University, Florida A&M and now Tennessee State.
Further details for the “TSU Tigers” have yet to be announced. In the meantime, check out Nike’s other collegiate collaborations with Clark Atlanta University and Florida A&M as mentioned.
