Nike Announces Air Rift in a Sleek “Triple Black”
You'll never go back with the Triple Black.
The unconventional Nike Air Rift has been announced to come in a new colorway, the Triple Black. The upcoming release makes for a sleek and stylish addition to the existing colorways.
The sneaker maintains its hardy yet flexible outsole and its looped straps at the midfoot and heel, making it a sneaker suitable for all terrains on all occasions. The Swoosh logo sits on the outer side of the split-toed design.
Nike first debuted this cult classic in 1996. The brand took inspiration from Kenyan runners’ sensation of running barefoot and the country’s Great Rift Valley. The signature split-toe design shot to fame in the Harajuku fashion world in the early 2000s due to its similarities to Japanese traditional “Tabi” footwear.
Though a release date has yet to be announced, the new colorway is set to be released in 2022 at a retail price of US$100.
