Nike Air Max 1 Goes Old-School in Premium “Mineral Slate”
Suede and denim blend together perfectly in this newest addition to the Nike Air Max 1 Premium lineup.
Though we’ve seen countless Air Max 1 colourways this year (it is the silhouette’s 35th Anniversary, after all), “Mineral Slate” is one of the more interesting upcoming releases. This latest addition to the slightly rarer Air Max 1 Premium catalogue utilises higher-quality materials, such as dusty blue suede and “Mineral Slate”-blue bleached denim across the upper.
The “Deep Royal Blue” Swoosh, tongue tab and inner lining stand out from the light-blue upper, while the cream yellow “Lemon Wash” midsole, cream laces and brown gumsole provide an aesthetic break from the blue tones. The use of premium denim and suede, combined with the blue, cream and yellow colour choice, creates a decidedly vintage look about the colourway, perfect for Nike’s ongoing celebration of one of their most iconic silhouettes.
The Nike Air Max 1 “Mineral Slate” does not yet have an official release date, but it is expected to drop on Nike SNKRS and select retailers for US$180 in the coming weeks – keep your eyes glued for more information!
