Japanese street basketball brand, ballaholic, was founded in 2006 with the original intention of spreading street basketball culture and it has gained popularity in Japan over the years. ballaholic and ASICS aren’t strangers to collaborating, back in May 2021, the duo’s collaboration on the GELBURST 24 LOW and GLIDE NOVA FF were sold out immediately after their launch. Following up, ballaholic will be launching a new joint project with ASICS, releasing two pairs of co-branded sneakers, GLIDE NOVA FF 2 and GEL-1130, for both performance and leisure purposes.

The GLIDE NOVA FF 2 has changed the ASICS Stripes on the lateral side of the upper into the ASICS round logo. The tongue tag is embossed with the classic ASICS brand logo with a basketball logo above it. Moving to the heel, the heels feature ballaholic’s mantra on the left and the meaning of different colors on the right. The GEL-1130 is dressed in cream, with asymmetrical blue and green colors on the heel to show the unique style. Both pairs of sneakers come with co-branding graphics insoles.

According to ballaholic, the ballaholic x ASICS sneakers collection will be available at ballaholic Tokyo store on 27th August, followed by the ballaholic official website and ASICS official website on 28th August. The GLIDE NOVA FF 2 is priced at ¥15,000 (US$160) and the GEL-1130 is priced at ¥13,000 (US$140).
