Almost a year after his passing, Virgil Abloh continues to bless us with his boundless creative visions. Following two pairs of Off-White x Air Force 1 Mid featuring multi-color spiked outsoles and an earlier-leaked Pine Green colorway, a new Black/White Off-White x Air Force 1 Mid has recently surfaced.
The images, courtesy of sneaker account @glitchedgarbage, depict the collaborative Nike sneaker in a relatively toned-down Black and White colorway. The full leather upper is blacked-out except for the Swoosh, laces and zip ties, which are now in full white. Its midsole also appears in white, with red accents coming from the visible Air bubble. The signature spiky outsole is also featured in full black.
A second pair, featuring a white leather upper fitted with Canary Yellow overlays and zip ties, is a nod to Abloh’s Canary Yellow design project. Printed on the yellow heel, is a dragon motif with the intials “V.A.”
Abloh’s deconstructed touches continue to adorn these two pairs of AF1 Mids—from the jagged stitching on the Swooshes to the ubiquitous zip ties. Release date-wise, both Nike and Off-White have not offered details but the rumors point to the black pair dropping later in the year.
In other sneaker-related news, Travis Scott x Fragment x Air Jordan 1 Low OG might be getting a restock real soon.
