Joe Freshgoods Launches “Good Old Days” with Mitchell & Ness
The king of Chicago streetwear collaborates with the king of premium vintage apparel, taking us back to the good old days of the '90s.
The 1990s was a beautiful time. There was no name bigger in sports than Michael Jordan, Tupac and Biggie were alive, hip-hop was burgeoning. Many times these two worlds converged and within that sphere was where we saw—what we now call athleisure—in its embryonic form. Sportswear transcended the hardwood of NBA stadiums and into the streets. Poly mesh jerseys and shorts turned casual and became a dress code of the zeitgeist.
This’s the pool of inspiration Joe “Freshgoods” Robinson drew from for his new brand, “Good Old Days” partnering with Mitchel & Ness for a collection of team jersey shorts with the likes of the Chicago Bulls, Charlotte Hornets, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, and lastly, the Houston Rockets. The shorts features a screenprint of the team’s logo, drawstring, and a Mitchell and Ness printed jock-tag pockets. Lest we forget, there’s also a special 1992 NBA Finals edition of the Bulls pair.
The collection is available now on joefreshgoods.com. Actually, you can complement the whole look with this pair of Air Jordan 1 Mid “Black/White”.
