The brainchild of Grace Ladoja — Homecoming started out as a music festival in 2017 but has since transcended its grassroots to become a movement; a four-day cultural exchange, igniting conversations about the creative empowerment of the upcoming generation. A festival that “brings African creatives and creativity back to Africa and gives African creatives what they need to take their vision to the world.”

To celebrate Nigeria and commemorate this new beginning, Homecoming has paired with some of streetwear’s heavy-hitters to create a collection (from t-shirts to accessories and footwear) that features the best of contemporary culture, through the lens of Africa’s creative youth.

There’s an array of t-shirts in the collection that includes Stüssy’s “One World, One Love, Gidi Life, Forever Shine, United we Stand” tee, with Off-White making a statement with theirs with the words: “I SUPPORT YOUNG BLACK BUSINESSES”.

In addition to a top, Yoon Ahn‘s AMBUSH also produced a silver and a gold spell-out necklace. But perhaps one of the most interesting offerings is the Patta x Mephisto “Nigeria” Sandals adorned with a Patta Script logo on the upper decked in green, cream and brown, perfect for the festival terrain.

They’re available now so get a piece of this special commemorative collaboration on Homecoming’s webstore. Enjoy the lookbook by Danielle Mbonu!

As far as vibrant and colorful collaborations go, check out the pavonine Stray Rats x New Balance MT580.
