WACKO MARIA’s Leopard Prints Take Over Timberland’s Classic Boat Shoes
The Japanese label injects wild new energy into a Timberland classic.
Coming fresh off their partnership with CLOT, Timberland has hooked up with Japanese label WACKO MARIA for another exciting collab.
WACKO MARIA, the streetwear brand founded by ex-J League player Atsuhiko Mori, is known for its music-inspired workwear and loud, playful prints. Taking on Timberland’s classic 2-Eye Boat Shoes, WACKO MARIA wasted no time in dressing the shoe in wacky leopard prints, a pattern that’s almost synonymous with the brand now.
There are two pairs of WACKO MARIA x Timberland 2-Eye Boat Shoes, a purple and a brown, and both are made using Japanese harako. Aside from a blacked-out toe box, the boat shoes are wrapped head-to-toe in purple and brown leopard-print harako respectively.
WACKO MARIA and Timberland’s co-branding appears in gold foil printing on the insoles, and on the co-branded box. This collab is set to drop on 30 July at WACKO MARIA stores, both physical and online, followed by a wider release at Timberland a week later.
Elsewhere, cult Japanese brands Mastermind and Suicoke team up for an all new sneaker + apparel collection.
