First Look at Jayson Tatum’s Air Jordan 37 PE
A pair inspired by the Celtics star’s ink. Expect him to be lacing up in these come his "revenge" season, after losing to the Warriors in the last Finals.
[Update 27 Jul] Official photos of the Air Jordan 37 “Jayson Tatum” PE have emerged, offering us a more detailed look at the personal ink motif of its namesake across the upper. Through these, we can see the Jumpman and the JT branding alternated between the pairs, over the “tattooed” canvas with the same theme traversing along the lower strip of the body, and the insoles.
Saving the best news for last: a release date has also been confirmed for October 7th, 2022 available through Nike.com and select retailers.
Jordan Brand has been making the right calls signing a roster of the future faces of the NBA. We’re talking multi-All-Star, MVP-calibre players like Luka Dončić, Jayson Tatum, and even Zion Williamson. The Jordan Zion 2 “Voodoo” has been an eye-catching take and will only get renewed attention once he laces up in them in the upcoming season.
Some of Tatum’s Player Exclusives have been just as conspicuous, to say the least, over the years like the Melody Ehsani-designed pair he wore during a shootaround in the recent Finals; not forgetting his annual “Taco Jay” releases. Some leaked images have offered us a first look on the Jordan XXXVII, next in line in his series of PEs.
The motif across the mudguard, heel and tongue is derivative of the Celtic star’s tattoos, and the “Pale Vanilla” Leno-Weave pattern makes up the base of the upper. The sneaker also features a Huarache-esque heel counter cage, a black nubuck ankle collar, and Michael Jordan’s signature and logo on the pull tab. A carbon fiber plate is also visible underfoot.
Expect a market release in the upcoming months at select retailers and Nike SNKRS.
In other Jordan-related releases, check out the exclusive Nike Air Jordan 36 “Paris”. Only 2629 pairs of the model were produced.
