Salt-and-pepper Look of the adidas Yeezy 700 V3 “Fade Salt”
Gradient-accented Primeknit with glow-in-the-dark TPU overlays make this "Fade Salt" one-of-a-kind.
The Yeezy 700 V3 debuted in late 2019 and has released in multiple colorways receiving a mixed bag of reviews. The latest member of the collection “Fade Salt” seems to be the best with its cool aesthetic in white, gray, and black hence making the shoe be able to match streetwear and casual outfits.
The silhouette’s signature streaky lines come with a gradient effect where they start with solid black at the toes and transition to white from mid-foot to the heel. The tongues and collars are featured in a gray hue.
Moving on to the functionality of the Fade Salt, the upper is made with Primeknit which is a mesh fabric that makes the sneaker exceptionally flexible and well-ventilated. The tongue is made of stretchy Neoprene with reflective materials that glow in the dark. Replacing the Boost cushioning, adidas uses a responsive EVA midsole which provides comfort and durability. The cream TPU overlay cages are flexible that glow in the dark. They also provide stability and structure for the flexible Primeknit beneath. The collar shows a cushioned rim which prevents shoe bite. The outsole features white rubber with visible orange pods and the herringbone pattern helps in traction and grip.
In general, the Fade Salt is unique in terms of both colorway and functionality. However, there is no information on the release date, but adidas and other retailers will likely to launch them later this year at the retail price of US$210.
