Sandal Details

adidas’ EQT (which stands for equipment) is one of the brand’s most famed models. The EQT line is popular for stripping down shoes to only the essentials needed for performance, protection and comfort. Minimal but stylish, the adidas EQT exploded in popularity in the early 90’s and has been spotted on numerous celebrities and athletes since then. For Summer 2022, the Trefoil is looking towards creating a sandal under the EQT’s minimalistic philosophy. The result: adidas EQT93 Sandals in black, white and khaki colors.

Given the functional purposes of a sandal, which is to ensure ventilation and comfort, the adidas EQT 93 Sandals strip away non-essential portions of the upper for greater breathability. What remains is a wide-gauge mesh made of PRIMEGREEN materials (adidas’ 100% recycled polyester material) mounted on the standard EQT midsole with cut-off Three Stripes. Synthetic pebbled leather straps keep your feet snug in the sandal while adidas EQT branding is featured on the velcro closure.

The adidas EQT 93 Sandals retail for 14, 300 Yen (~USD106) and will be available for a global release on adidas’ website. In Japan, these sandals are dropping on 8 July. For more pictures and where to purchase, keep scrolling!
