The first six months of 2022 were full of surprises as Nike has made multiple iterations on the Air Force 1 Low. Now, Nike is getting ready to pump us up with more designs in the second half with the release of the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Layered”.
At a glance, the pair of Nike Air Force 1 Layered is manufactured in white premium leather base with white overlays, giving it a clean and crisp look. However, many more details are hidden in this pair of Air Force 1. To start off, a translucent jewel Swoosh is superimposed on the standard Swooshes on the lateral side. A small, dented Swoosh also subtly appears on the mudguard.
Both the lace dubraes and the first eyelet at the top of the tongue opt for a “Metallic Gold” finish, with the text “82” and “1982” embellished on them respectively, paying homage to the year which the Nike Air Force 1 made its first debut. The graphic insoles feature the Nike Air logo on the left and “82 22” text on the right, further highlighting the 40th anniversary of AF1 in 2022. The internal tongue tag also gives us a summary of the history AF1s, with Bruce Kilgore name printed on it.
Both the heels and the tongue labels each feature two different branding logos stacked on one another. Completing the look is a slightly yellowed midsole and outsole, symbolizing the passing of time from its debut in 1982.
