Following the recent release of the A-COLD-WALL* x Converse Sponge Crater CX, Converse is set to expand its Sponge Crater CX line by releasing 2 new colorways “Sail” and “Black”.

The “Sail” and “Black” get a monochromatic Sail and Black color across its foam-constructed shell as well as the interior stretch-knit bootie respectively. However, these are not entirely monotone as speckled Grind rubber can be spotted on the Crater Foam as it is made from recycled foam material. Both sneakers feature eggcrate-style traction pattern bottoms. Both Sail and Black have the detailing of green Converse branding on the insoles, polyester tongues, and the brand’s iconic Star embroidered onto the heel pull tabs.

To zoom in to the wearability of the Converse Sponge Crater CX 2colors, the flat-knit upper helps promote breathability and the spandex collar, pull tabs and exaggerated heel kick facilitate ease of wearing. Lastly, the Crater Foam provides cushioning and comfort to the wearer.

In addition, the Converse Sponge Crater CX 2colors include many sustainable elements where the knitted upper is made up of 95% recycled material and 100% of the polyester tongue and pull tabs are constructed in recycled material as well.
