Both Cynthia Lu and her brand Cactus Plant Flea Market (CPFM) tend to keep a low profile, but surface suddenly for surprise launches that generate substantial buzz. Such a trend emerges for the summer, but this time with their long-time partner Stussy. As we have seen from the duo’s 2021 collection, which featured summer statement pieces, the new Stüssy x Cactus Plant Flea Market CPFM Collection is also a vivid capsule with Jamaican influence.

Overall, the collection is a playful mix of Stussy and CPFM’s logo scattered on a mix of hoodies, t-shirts, shorts, towels, sweatshirts, and a summer-ready bottle. On closer inspection, one would also notice the recurring “rain ah but ca©tüs” on an all-over graphic tee and black sweatshirt. This is a riff on Jamaican poet Ms. Lou (Louise Bennett-Coverley)’s poem “Dutty Tuff”.

Another standout among the pieces is a black sweatshirt that has “Cactus Sport” printed across and skateboarding graphics. For those that indulge in rounds of pool will find representation in a blue hoodie, that has an eight ball graphic printed on the back.
