It seems like 2022 is the year of change and transformation for Canadian rapper Drake. Just a few days ago, he had a surprise drop of his seventh studio album, “HONESTLY, NEVERMIND” which was met with polarising opinions given the unexpected house and dance sound he adopted. Such a music style was vastly different from Drake’s previous releases, and it seems like his transformation isn’t just limited to his music.
Leaked by @JustFreshKicks, Drake and Nike are gearing up for a Nike NOCTA apparel collection that dons interesting design elements. The previous Drake x Nike NOCTA collaboration saw a line of apparel colored in jet black and bright yellow hues characteristic to the rapper. This time around, though, Drake has gone ahead to dress the hoodies and sweatpants in a lavendar-blue gradient.
Embroidered onto the soft streetwear staples is the NOCTA logo elongated and subsequently transformed into a trail of white butterflies. Such a motif seems befitting of Drake’s trajectory this year, and perhaps symbolises the rapper’s metamorphosis as he diversifies his genre offerings.
If the previous Drake x Nike NOCTA collection is anything to go off by, it is likely that more colorways, apparel and accessories will join the line-up. It is also rumored that this collaboration will be landing in the market very soon, so keep our page bookmarked to receive the newest updates!
