Who said pastel colors are reserved solely for spring? Nike certainly doesn’t think so in their unveiling of the Nike WMNS Next Nature Dunk Low “Lilac”. Following the popular “White Mint” colorway, this shoe adopts a two-tone approach to its design.
White leather covers the upper while doses of calming lilac washes the overlays, laces, tongue branding, and outsole. The only non-peaceful color on this shoe is its insole, which comes in Volt lime green and carries the Nike pinwheel logo. Those keen on Nike’s “Move to Zero” ethos, which pushes for more sustainable materials, will notice that the light purple flecked outsole is made of Grind Rubber (a combination of scrap and recycled materials).
Similarly, the Next Nature Dunk Low series is also part of Nike’s sustainability push as it revamps the materials used in the well-loved low top. Though nothing is overtly different visually, with the Dunk Low still retaining a sleek look, the leather panel boasts a higher percentage of recycled materials.
No release dates have been confirmed for the Nike WMNS Next Nature Dunk Low Lilac, but we expect it to be highly anticipated given the popularity of the “White Mint” edition, which ranked top 4 on the SNKRDUNK app in May.
